Boilermaker

Job Summary:

To fabricate, assemble, install, and repair metal structures, boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels according to specifications, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and quality standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Trade Test Certificate as a Boilermaker.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a fabrication or engineering environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal fabrication.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments.
• Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Workshop and site-based environments
• Exposure to heat, noise, and heavy machinery
• Physically demanding work
• May require overtime, shift work, or site work

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Cut, shape, and weld metal materials using appropriate tools.
• Repair and maintain boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels.
• Conduct inspections to identify faults or defects.
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Work on-site or in workshop environments as required.
• Assist with installations and shutdown projects.
