Job Summary:

To manage the daily operations of a stationery retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, strong sales performance, effective stock control, and overall store profitability.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Diploma/Degree in Retail Management, Business, or related field (advantageous)
  • 3–5 years’ experience in retail management (stationery or FMCG preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations and merchandising.
  • Proven sales and team management experience.
  • Experience in stock control and inventory systems.
  • Computer literacy (POS systems, MS Office).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work retail hours, including weekends.
  • Retail store environment.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Weekend and public holiday work required.
  • Fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily store operations and ensure smooth running of the store.
  • Drive sales performance and achieve targets.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate store staff.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer queries.
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control.
  • Implement merchandising standards and promotions.
  • Monitor store performance and prepare reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, organisation, and visual appeal.
  • Handle cash management and daily reconciliations.
  • Resolve operational issues and improve store efficiency.
