Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to promote and sell IT products and services, develop new business and maintain strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will identify customer needs, recommend suitable solutions and work with the technical team to prepare accurate quotations and achieve sales targets.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric.
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Previous sales experience in IT products and services.
- A qualification in Sales, Marketing or Information Technology will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking and IT support services.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and explain technical solutions clearly.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience using CRM systems will be advantageous.
- Strong communication, negotiation and customer relationship skills.
- Target-driven, organised and able to work independently.
- Valid driver’s licence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for IT products and services.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
- Assess customer needs and recommend suitable hardware, software and service solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and product information with input from the technical team.
- Arrange customer meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
- Follow up on leads, quotations and sales opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing and terms within approved company guidelines.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Coordinate with technical and procurement teams on specifications, availability and delivery.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Follow up after sales and coordinate the resolution of customer queries.
- Identify opportunities for upgrades, renewals and additional services.
- Keep up to date with the company’s IT offerings and relevant industry developments.
- Prepare sales reports and provide feedback on customer needs and market opportunities.
